Regional Activities

Once a year, the MitOst-Festival brings together members of different countries in an inspiring forum where new ideas are developed and new projects are implemented. In addition to the Festival, members can meet each other in several other ways: at the MitOst-Camp, in workshops, or through projects. Looking for direct contact in your area during the rest of the year? MitOst-Regional groups organise and offer regular meetings and activities.

Regional Groups at MitOst

Active MitOst-members have already founded regional groups in Uzhhorod, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Leipzig and in the South Caucasus. If you live in one of these regions – contact the group and get involved!

Founding a MitOst-Regional Group

We are looking forward to more regional groups at MitOst, as they offer possibilities for members to find others with similar interests, work together towards MitOst’s goals, and simply to  exchange ideas in a group setting.

There is no one definition of how a MitOst-regional group should look, how many members it should have, or how often it should meet. Most of it is up to you, your plans, and your energy!

Regional Group Activities

Of course, this is up to you as well. Here are some suggestions:

Joint coordination of and application for a MitOst-project; visits to showings of Central- and Eastern European films; meals at Russian, Polish or Georgian restaurants; organising a MitOst-party; biking- and camping tours by the Baltic Sea; language tandems; MitOst Festival projects; cultural evenings with relevant authors or experts; flea markets to help fund MitOst projects.

Support from our Headquarters
