Khatwa aims to strengthen youth involvement in civil society in Egypt through active citizenship education. The program aims to empower social change and tackle regional needs by providing capacity building for active young people. The individual with its capacities is in the Centre of our approach. Through seminars, training with peer-to-peer facilitators, and project design and implementation, participants are motivated with tools and skills to be active citizens. Khatwa implemented in cooperation between El Sadat Association and Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg.

The programme targets active youth from all over Egypt.

Khatwa is a programme that is run in collaboration with the Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg (THK), a programme of the Robert Bosch Foundation and MitOst, and El Sadat Association for Social Development & Welfare. Khatwa seeks to empower young people in Egypt to make social impacts in their communities through the THK methodology, as well as qualification in programme management. Participants will be given support throughout the programme in the form of training, mentoring, qualification, and access to Khatwa’s network of resources.
