Artist-in-Residence Program 2019

Tender of a European Scholarship for September-October 2019 in the Lehniner Institut für Kunst und Kultur, Kloster Lehnin, Land Brandenburg.

The audan kunststiftung, Berlin in cooperation with the Lehnin Institut announces a two months tender for drawing artists from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Both organizations stand for a united Europe.

To support the artistic development, the foundation offers a free stay in the institute from the 1st of September until the 27th of October 2019. Work- and livingroom are united, due to constructions, which means, that extensive inside works are limited at this period. Board and lodging are free, a financial contribution will be arranged. The institute with an art-gallery and a sculpture park is situated at the wooded edge of the town.

In this year artists with finished apprenticeship (max.40 years), who predominantly work in the area of handdrawing (conceptual, constructive, concrete or experimental) can apply. An exposition of the resulting works is expected at the end of the stay. German or English language skills are required. Travel expenses are up the scholar. The application comprises the artistic curriculum, a description of the work position and intentions or rather a project plan.
