PILORAMA LAB took place in Perm

On July 28, 2012, the First European Youth Forum "Pilorama Lab" ended with a closing discussion on the territory of the Memorial Centre of the History of Political Repressions "Perm 36". The last working day of the "Lab" coincided with the first working day of the International Civil Forum "Pilorama",

'At the final discussion, devoted to the role of the youth in the European integration, we were dealing with questions of Russia-Europe co-opertion in the field of civic education, legislative regulation of the system of the Russian civic education, activities of nonprofit organizations under new conditions', told Alexander MOROZOV, Chief Editor at the "Russian Journal", Head of the Centre of Media Research UNIK. – 'By the way, not only experts but also the audience were actively participating in the discussion’'

Alexander PROTASEVICH, Minister of Culture of the Perm Region, underlined in the course of the conversation with foreign guests that "Pilorama Lab" were a perspective and a socially significant project for the Perm Region and that he considered the idea of the Forum taking place on a regular basis as justified.

'I attended the events in Perm as a representative of the Czech organization "People in Need" as well as a member of the Steering Committee of the Civil Society Forum "EU-Russia"', said Rostislav VALVODA after the meeting. 'In my opinion, the Forum offered interesting discussions and informal conversations, and I will back further patronate of this event by the Civil Society Forum "EU-Russia". Especially, I liked the master class "Historical Legacy. Civic Education. Design", where even with hot topics announced and different backgrounds of participants from Russia, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, and Germany the discussions turned out to be full of argumentation and a lot of mutual understanding'.

Organizers of "Pilorama Lab" express their gratefulness for Forum‘s partners, experts, and participants and agree that the pilot project had turned out to be successful. This can be confirmed by the willingness of participants to cooperate within the preparation work for the next Forum.
