Call for Applications: Europe Lab, 28-31 July 2018 in Piteşti, Romania

 For the fourth time, the EU-Russia Civil Society Forum invites young professionals from all over Europe to come together at the Forum “Europe Lab” to network, exchange ideas and best practices, work together on current European issues and develop cross-border project initiatives. The Forum for Young Professionals “Europe Lab” invites you to join us and shape the future of Europe together! 

If you are a young professional between 25 and 35 from the EU, Russia, and other European states don’t hesitate to apply for the 2018 edition of "Europe Lab". It will take place on 28–31 July 2018 in Pitești in cooperation with the Pitești Prison Memorial.

The programme of “Europe Lab” 2018 includes four intensive workshop sessions and an additional programme including discussions, cultural and networking events as well as a tour of the exhibition at the Pitești Prison Memorial - a non-profit organisation, which purpose is to document and provide information about the history of the former communist political prison of Pitești.

• Stories of never-ending past: historical memory, local communities, performing arts
• How can civil society help to overcome territorial conflicts in Europe?
• Gender Blenders: gender and diversity
• The Civic inspirers – how to organise Civic and Human Rights education in the era of democracy crisis

More detailled information on the programme and workshops you can find here. The outputs of the workshops may be common international project initiatives, theatre performances, exhibitions, media pieces and others. Ideas generated at the Forum will get the chance to grow: Participants can apply for follow-up grants and implement projects in international teams. The results of “Europe Lab” will be presented at the 9th General Assembly of the EU-Russia Civil Society Forum in 2019. Alumni of “Europe Lab” are invited to network and cooperate further in various formats and initiatives. The working language of the Forum is English. Costs for workshops, accommodation, and meals are covered by the organisers. Travel costs are borne by the participants themselves.
